Questions

The things people ask most, answered directly.

Is it free?

Yes, completely. There is no paid tier, no trial, and no feature held back. It is not free because something else is being sold instead, see the next two answers.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Log a feed with no signal and it is saved on your device, then synced when you are back in service. This was built for a plane, a basement and a rural drive, not as an afterthought.

Can I export my data?

Yes, at any time, to CSV: one file per log plus a daily summary.

What happens to my data if I stop using it?

Delete your account and the data is deleted with it. Nothing is kept, sold or shared. You can also export everything to CSV first.

Do you show ads or sell my data?

No, and no. There is no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking. Nothing about your baby is sold or shared with anyone. The privacy policy says the same thing at more length.

Does it work for twins, or more than one baby?

Yes. Track several babies from one account and switch between them. Each has its own log, charts and settings.

Can both parents use it?

Yes. Everyone caring for your baby can sign in to the same account, so the log stays in one place rather than in two phones that disagree.

Does it work if I travel?

Yes, every entry records the time zone it was logged in. Fly from Vancouver to London and your history still reads correctly.

What if I forget to log for a day?

Mark that day as not tracked and it leaves every average and chart. A day nobody logged should not read as a day the baby did not eat.

Is there an iPhone or Android app?

Cub Tracks runs in your browser and can be installed to your home screen, where it behaves like an app and works offline. There is no App Store or Play Store listing yet.

Will it tell me when my baby should sleep or eat?

It shows you what has happened and, where there is enough history, a rough window for what usually comes next. It does not tell you what to do. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose anything, please feed a hungry baby regardless of what this silly app says.

Who made it?

One parent, not a company, after using a home-made version to track their own baby.

Can I support it?

PayPal, or e-transfer within Canada. See the support page. Entirely optional.
